System Security Engineer

Key Role:

Assist with designing, developing, or recommending integrated security system solutions to ensure proprietary and confidential data and systems are protected. Provide technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions. Participate with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. Prepare materials for computer security education and awareness programs. Respond to queries and requests for computer security information and reports.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with reviewing security plans, processes, and strategies to identify areas for improvement or update

-Experience with designing and implementing security requirements into products and systems

-Knowledge of security regulations and directives for organizational and agency level requirements

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED and 13+ years of experience with systems security engineering or BA or BS degree in CS or Electronics Engineering and 5+years of experience with systems security engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with vulnerability management, analysis, remediation plan, reporting, and metrics

-Experience with continuous monitoring process, SOPs, training materials, including security audits, POAM reviews, ATO, and Assessment and Authorization, security IR process, audit log process, security controls, artifacts, including MW and OIG FISMA and FISCAM recommendations, and training on approved security processes

-Ability to provide security support for all components of security operations and sustainment related to vulnerability management, inventory management, systems, networks, isolation architecture, applications, software, medical devices, and specialized device support to include assessment and authorization, risk management, incident response, continuous monitoring and readiness management, and audit support
-Public Trust clearance
