Systems Administrator

We’re looking for a systems administrator to help manage a host of servers in our two data centers to help us manage the client's financial management system.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll be working with industry-leading hardware and software components to maintain the ten operating environments in support of our client. You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in the full end-to-end data center operations. You Have:

-4 years of experience with setting up and maintaining hardware and software for production, disaster recovery, and development or test facilities

-Experience with building, configuring, troubleshooting, and upgrading Linux, including Oracle and RedHat enterprise servers on both bare-metal and virtual environments supporting development, production and disaster recovery facilities

-Experience with handling Linux system administration functions, including complete system integration, troubleshooting, rebuilding, installing required patches, and backups

-Experience with researching and implementing new technologies, including Linux and database monitoring tools and storage technologies to minimize system outages and downtime

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with performing maintenance activities for existing enterprise SAN architecture and planning for future additions

-Experience with debugging both hardware and operating system-related issues and documenting solutions

-Experience in working with vendors or resellers to design and implement best of breed IT solutions

-Experience with managing an inventory of current equipment and items to keep stock of all IT equipment up to date

-Experience with developing, enhancing, and updating existing server and workstation images using image backup techniques and tools

-Ability to manage all physical aspects of the data center environment, including design of power requirements, power management, server racking, and server or hardware support

-Ability to provide 24/7 on-call system support as part of on-call rotation schedule and ensure all SLAs for issues are met
