Systems Specialist

Key Role:
Identify and promote cross-system coordination between state Early Childhood Systems and OHS in the region. Incorporate tasks reflective of national priorities, as presented by OHS, National Centers, and the Regional Office (RO). Aggregate and analyze regional data as it relates to OCC and OHS to identify cross-system coordination and collaboration. Provide briefs and reports on current issues, trends, and data and regional and federal priorities and provide updates on early learning initiatives. Develop a monthly dashboard to aggregate, analyze, and present regional data on specific trends, including under-enrollment, staff turnover, child health and safety, and other high priority areas identified by RO. Establish relationships based on priorities with other relevant regional agencies, including Head Start Collaboration Offices, OCC State Systems Specialists, State Administrators, and Advisory Councils. Work in collaboration with the Regional Field Specialist (RFS) on the development of Early Childhood systems. 

Basic Qualifications

-7+ years of experience with the provision of high-level technical assistance and consultation to Head Start programs professional environment

-3+ years of experience with delivering technical assistance to staff

-3+ years of experience in working with or developing partnerships

-Experience in developing successful collaborations with state early childhood systems, Head Start Program Performance Standards, and other regulations, including state child care licensing standards and regulations and QRIS

-Experience with data aggregation and analysis

-Knowledge of state systems within Region VI

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree in Program Design or Program Management
