Test Engineer Mid

Key Role:

Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new and modified products or product components. Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups and direct junior personnel on the set-up and performance of tests. Act as a liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items. Devise and apply testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors and participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs. Work under general supervision, plan, conduct, and supervise assignments, review progress and evaluate results with management, plan and assign personnel for given projects or tasks, recommend changes in procedures, and operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with code development using IEEE or CMMI best practices

-Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and system design

-Knowledge of networking standards and protocols

-Knowledge of performing and documenting test objectives, processes, descriptions, and results

-Ability to be a motivated self-starter, learn quickly, spend personal time researching new test tools and techniques, work productively with a team, and support client meetings and deliverables

-Ability to travel to client sites up to 4% of the time throughout CONUS

-Active Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree in CS or EE or 3+ years of experience with developing software

-DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including CompTIA Security+

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Key Management Infrastructure and Over The Network Keying Protocols

-Ability to adapt to last minute changes in direction

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent problem-solving skills

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-MS degree in CS, EE, or a related technical field or multiple years of experience with developing software

-DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including ISC2 CISSP
