Test Engineer

Key Role:

Perform program test oversight, requirements management, planning, test integration, and test execution for specific test events. Assess system flight test design, identify issues, and provide recommendations and onsite support at test events. Map system objectives to a campaign of test events, document flight test requirements, report on system objective demonstration, and conduct pre- and post-test analyses, pre-mission planning, support reviews, and reporting of test results. Coordinate policies, test documentation, and requirements and demonstrate significant expertise in state-of-the-art T&E methods and practices in the specialized area. Monitor and evaluate tests involving conventional test engineering practices, including several complex features, such as various modifications of precedent, special considerations in planning, conflicting test requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult test coordination requirements and recommend, apply, and use automated test tools and techniques. Demonstrate experience with applying standard practices of related engineering and scientific disciplines to a T&E engagement, including the application of statistics, operations research, and electrical or mechanical engineering principles to the planning, execution, and analysis of T&E engagements. Manage multiple data-gathering efforts, prepare results, and modify how they are presented based on the audience.

Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with test engineering

-Experience with executing and leading a test team in the execution of test procedures and creation of test reports and test artifacts in accordance with military standards and DIDs

-Experience with conducting trade studies and analysis for product selection

-Experience with DoD test and evaluation activities, including planning, execution, or assessment

-Experience with systems integration, verification, and testing

-Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with executing software tests, including preparation activities leading up to and during mission conduct preferred

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint

-Experience in working with unmanned aircraft and unmanned ground robotics systems hardware and software, including radio communications technologies and computer networking concepts

-Experience with the Software Acquisition Life Cycle

-Ability to work and produce products in a rapid-paced, high stress environment

-Ability to generate briefings and detailed technical documents

-Ability to interface directly with the customer and facilitate the solution of problems in a timely, professional manner

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in Engineering or related technical, technician, or scientific fields or equivalent
