Vehicle Electronics Architecture Lead

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for overall system engineering for Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system architecture, including leveraging comprehension of all user requirements, architecture compliance, key elements, issues, and mechanical aspects of the Army client's systems. Provide guidance and direction to the subject working group leads to ensure synchronization and technical focus. Review government performance work statements and contractor proposals for technical accuracy and to ensure requirements are met, coordinate technology insertion efforts, analyze industry trends and emerging technology application to the program baseline, interface regularly with industry partners to ensure the prime contractor is providing the most advanced technology to the warfighter, identify system architectures that are compatible with the current tactical communication systems, and coordinate with other programs, including internal and external to the Army client to ensure interoperability with the program of record baseline. Maintain responsibility for the engineering design, installation, operation, and maintenance of the Army client's network. Support technical tasks in the integration of data, voice, video, or telephony in the Army client's network, engineering and technical documentation, and assistance with the development of technical requirements, specifications, plans and reports, software and hardware engineering, preparation of independent assessments, systems engineering, technical expertise in fielding locations, test and evaluation, architectural and interoperability support, and quality engineering. Provide technical support for all program equipment labs, develop equipment and network configurations and products, support technology insertion testing relative to emerging Army clients' networks requirements and capabilities, and leverage technical expertise at field locations, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with C4ISR systems engineering for the DoD or military programs

-Ability to model, architect, design, develop, integrate, test, or manage platform electronic architecture solutions

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, CS, or Information Systems

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with senior commissioned military preferred

-Knowledge of current force or future C4ISR networks

-Knowledge of system engineering processes, procedures, and best practices

-Knowledge of DoDAF, Integrated Support Plan (ISP), and Support Engineering Plan (SEP)

-Knowledge of Visio or BPT

-Knowledge of current and future force tactical and strategic military communications networks and the architecture, protocols, security, network management, and physics underlying these systems

-Knowledge of converged Ethernet over IP (EOIP) network

-Possession of excellent presentation skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Clearance:
