Voice Network Solution Architect

Key Role:

Maintain oversight responsibility for complex, high risk voice infrastructure modernization programs. Lead the team through all phases, including concept, development, implementation, and closeout and maintain technical and engineering leadership responsibility for the survey, design, and implementation of a turnkey voice network solution in accordance with client requirements. Oversee the work breakdown structure, critical path, and change control, supervise staff, and manage budget, schedules, and project operations. Serve as a liaison with the program or project sponsor, clients, and other stakeholders and maintain primary responsibility for program growth. Lead direct-engagement solution development programs with clients, teammates, vendors, and internal stakeholders, develop advanced technological ideas, and guide their development into a final product. Advise senior executive management and clients on advanced technical research studies and applications, continually assess and manage business and technical risk throughout the solution development life cycle, and drive both technical solutions in systems delivery jobs to craft the narrative in the technical volume. 

Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with designing and implementing hardware or software solutions integrating voice and data telecommunications systems for DoD clients

-Experience with systems engineering and leading engineering efforts on assigned programs with minimal oversight from clients

-Knowledge of applying rigorous system engineering methodology in developing these solutions

-Ability to coordinate and negotiate design and engineering activities with other related programs and organizations

-Secret clearance required

-BS degree in Engineering or CS required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with testing, certifying, and accrediting telecommunications products for the DoD Unified Capabilities Approved Product List

-Experience with working on unusually complex technical problems and providing solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious

-Experience with determining and pursuing courses of action necessary to obtain preferred results

-Experience with managing systems engineering activities, including requirements analyses, functional analyses, design solutions formulation, systems analysis and control, and generation and maintenance of systems architecture products

-Knowledge of industrial control systems, Internet of Things (IoT), 4G and emerging 5G networks, and content distribution networks

-Ability to successfully apply the DoD Risk Management Framework and Cybersecurity engineering methods across solutions development life cycle activities

-Ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts

-Ability to apply system engineering principles and procedures to translate quantified needs or requirements into system performance parameters and the identification of system or item configurations

-Ability to translate military operational and mission requirements into practical system concepts and performance specifications

-MS degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, CS, or EE

-Professional Certification for Cisco, Avaya, Genband, or similar Internet Protocol voice product suites
