The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton is looking for a highly skilled and knowledgeable Web Application Administrator.

Web Application Administrators will work on a team supporting primarily Oracle WebLogic administration and design as well as middleware operational application support. The team supports maintenance of a web based application supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. Team members will work closely with the other team members in the DBA team, application support analysts, and application developers in creating the functional and scalable applications from design and development through implementation for business clients. Team members will support infrastructure and application troubleshooting as well as executing new software version deployments.


-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Must live in the Charleston, SC area or be willing to relocate

-Experience administrating Java, J2EE applications using Oracle Weblogic Server and Oracle Application Server

-Experience in installation, configuration, backup and recovery of Middleware tools and technology

-Experience in reviewing application performance metrics and proactively addressing performance concerns

-Experience in resource planning / management and source control and configuration management

-Experience with Disaster Recovery best practices

-Experience with application monitoring best practices


Experience with Agile software development methodology

-Experience with Java programming language  

-Experience with supporting Linux or Windows based operating systems, shell scripting

-Experience with Configuration Management tools like Puppet or Chef
