Accountant, Senior

Key Role:

Assist with leading federal financial improvement and audit readiness (FIAR) activities to achieve client objectives. Apply knowledge of financial management, accounting, or audit principles to lead teams in a wide variety of review and analyses of business processes, systems, internal controls, and transactions impacting financial statements. Work in a collaborative team environment and interact with internal teams and client leadership on a regular basis to accomplish project objectives. Provide project management expertise to client engagements and project work streams, including analyzing plans and approaches and overseeing project delivery. 

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with providing accounting services to federal government agencies or fortune 500 companies

-Experience in financial statement compilation and reporting process and audit response and remediation, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS)

-Experience with leading a successful execution of the audit process as an independent public accountant (IPA) of a fortune 500 company or a federal agency that ultimately received a clean audit opinion

-Experience with leading teams and managing projects, including managing project staff, budgets, and client relationships

-Knowledge of OMB A-123, GAAP, GAAS, or similar accounting principles

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the DoD or Department of Navy (DON) preferred

-Ability to adapt to excel in a culture with a high degree of ambiguity

-Possession of excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret clearance

-MBA degree

-Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certification preferred
