Acquisition Project Analyst, Mid

Key Role:
Assist government procurement agencies with defining proposals, including RFPs, and qualifying vendors. Apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support clients in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process policy and procedures. Analyze innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation. Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction or mitigation approaches for improving acquisition or program planning, control, and execution.

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience in a professional work environment
-Knowledge of acquisition processes and programs
-Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), the DoD’s process for acquisition programs, and the various program reviews required for acquisition approval
-Ability to provide acquisition and project management expertise to support the execution of projects through the acquisition and execution life cycle

-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with project management

-Knowledge of the Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) program mission
-Ability to apply expertise to advising and assisting the government with acquisition planning, execution, and management of contract and intergovernmental actions
-Ability to provide workforce development and acquisition-related training to US government personnel, including program management, acquisition planning, risk analysis, requirements generation, contracting processes, and contract management
-Ability to assist or advise project teams with analyzing acquisition documentation per client organization acquisition policy

-Ability to navigate the inner working of foreign diplomacy successfully with a professional demeanor

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
