Additive Manufacturing Technology Assessment Task Lead

Key Role:

Assist a variety of defense clients in the assessment of the effectiveness of additive manufacturing processes against their mission challenges. Lead the execution of technical studies into additive manufacturing techniques. Identify techniques and approaches that have a potential to meet mission needs, and potentially prototype the approach against a representative set of mission hardware. Provide technical planning and support to working group style events involving other experts within the additive manufacturing field.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with additive manufacturing approaches, including assessing the potential performance of additive approaches against a set of requirements or mission challenges

-Experience with a variety of metallic, polymer, and multi-material additive manufacturing systems commercially available today or in development

-Experience with conducting performance-related research and analysis and documenting findings in Microsoft PowerPoint or Word report formats

-Ability to lead the day-to-day execution of additive manufacturing technology assessment efforts, including analysis of alternatives, characterization and quantification of performance, and comprehension and development of requirements based on mission needs, particularly for defense systems

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree 

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with additive manufacturing for microelectronics, including printed circuits, printed antennas, and other electromagnetic structures

-Ability to lead the efforts of a task team of 1-2 junior additive manufacturing analysts, consolidate results into a credible and persuasive presentation or report, and present the findings to clients on behalf of the task team

-Ability to contribute to tasks adjacent to additive manufacturing, including defense anti-tamper, materials analysis, and test and component qualification

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent presentation skills, including presenting findings directly to clients either in person or via teleconference

-Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in a technical field with relevance to Additive Manufacturing
