Administrative Assistant

Key Role:

Lead operational support to the organization and prepare correspondence, reports, and documents ensuring correct grammar, format, and clarity in accordance with correspondence regulations and policy AR-25-50 Preparing and Managing Correspondence. Establish and update data files, charts, e-mails, official correspondence, and administrative reports using a variety of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Maintain employee attendance records and calendars, schedule meetings and appointments, submit visitor requests, and receive visitors and phone calls, ascertaining the nature of the request and direct callers to the appropriate staff. Initiate and process travel orders and vouchers using client processes and the Government’s Defense Travel System (DTS). Maintain attendance daily using the Government’s Out-Of-Office (OOO) and Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS) systems. Promote awareness and compliance regarding safety issues in the workplace.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience as a professional administrative or executive assistant

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

-Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to use modern Information Communication Technology (ICT) equipment, including telephone exchange, computer, copier, printer, and scanner

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in the military

-Knowledge of correspondence regulations and policy AR-25-50

-Knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS)

-Knowledge of Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS)

-Ability to type a minimum of 50 Words Per Minute (WPM)

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree
