Aerospace Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Apply expertise in aerospace engineering concepts to all-source Scientific and Technical Intelligence (S&TI) research, analysis, and assessments to evaluate the characteristics, capabilities, limitations, or vulnerabilities of current foreign manned and unmanned military rotary-wing aviation systems and their weapons systems and technologies, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and helicopter materials and structures. Forecast the future capabilities and battlefield effectiveness of such systems. Assist with writing or contributing to all-source S&TI assessments and populate and maintain intelligence databases on rotary-wing aviation systems.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with engineering, science, and technology analysis

-Experience with aerospace engineering analysis pertaining to the evaluation and assessment of the characteristics, capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities of current foreign rotary wing aviation systems, materials, and structures, and forecasting the future capabilities and battlefield effectiveness of such systems

-Experience with the use of modeling techniques, including computer-aided design (CAD) software to determine aerodynamic performance

-Ability to research and apply collected intelligence, scientific, engineering, and technical principles, weapon technology, and combat environments and tactics to the assessment of the capabilities, limitations, and vulnerabilities of foreign rotary wing aviation systems, materials, and structures

-TS/SCI clearance required

-BA or BS degree in Aerospace Engineering
