Afloat C4I Systems Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for providing technical and programmatic analysis in support of Naval Systems Open Architecture and technology initiatives, track all project tasks, action items, deadlines, and deliverables in support of providing Government Furnished Information (GFI) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), and track and manage procurements and other contract actions and installation and maintenance planning activities in support of new construction shipbuilding programs and integration program offices. Support the execution of the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process and work with program managers, systems engineers, and configuration managers to ensure adherence to SPAWAR installation guidance. Prepare briefings, analyze and maintain Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), review cost estimates, develop Statements of Work (SOW), review GFI, including Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD), acquisition or systems engineering documentation, and system and platform specific requirements, review and author whitepapers, develop and track financial obligations associated with their assigned Naval Platform, procure and track GFE, review engineering drawings, and track the development and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation. Serve as a liaison between numerous internal and external stakeholders concerning C4I policies, network design, configuration and certification, installation and integration challenges, procurements, and ILS. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with supporting Navy shipboard installation and SOVT efforts

-3+ years of experience with supporting a Navy Systems Command–level acquisition program office or integration program office

-Knowledge of System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes

-Knowledge of ship– and shore–based Navy communications and network infrastructure systems

-Secret clearance required 

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Cybersecurity Certification
