Agile Project Manager

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for planning and managing agile projects to meet product delivery, quality, and cost goals. Provide coaching and mentoring and apply a strategic vision for Agile development. Act as project team leader, including reviewing user or technical requirements, identifying tasks, assigning and coordinating resources, and creating or tracking project schedules. Oversee Scrum Masters and alleviate disruptions in the software development life cycle (SDLC) process by identifying areas of improvement and conceptualizing methods on how to be more efficient. Ensure clear communication and timely issue resolution, and work on advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical knowledge or industry. Take a leadership role in generating intellectual capital, and develop competency in project and financial management and assist with managing teams and formulating business strategy. Facilitate collaboration to improve team productivity while promoting continuous improvement. 

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with managing complex systems and software development projects, and management of project financials

-6+ years of experience in leading full systems delivery teams

-3+ years of leading teams delivering using agile methodologies

-Experience with Scrum and Agile delivery techniques, including release planning, metrics, and tracking

-Ability to align technology implementation with an organization's strategy, and manage multiple teams and product roadmaps to achieve the strategy

-Ability to successfully identify and mitigate risks

-Ability to communicate successfully and present project statuses effectively with customers, users, and stakeholders across all levels and technical abilities

-Ability to obtain security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with government contracts

-Experience in leading efforts using test-driven development, automated testing, and continuous integration environments

-Experience in working with and leading distributed teams and applying collaborative tools

-Knowledge of JIRA or other Agile development tools

-Ability to mentor both technical and non-technical staff 

-Ability to define, interpret, and present agile metrics, and use the metrics to improve delivery

-PMP Certified and Agile Certifications
