Air and Missile Defense Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:

Conduct analysis and planning to execute integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) operations within the United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE) area of responsibility (AOR) to secure US Homeland, US European Command (USEUCOM) forces, NATO, and allied forces, including allies in support of national global objectives. Create plans to protect and defend against theater missile attack through an appropriate integrated and coordinated mix of mutually supporting measures of passive defense, active defense, and attack operations with supporting command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence. Provide Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) and Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) planning and operation support to USAFE in the development, planning, coordination, management, and execution of USAFE’s IAMD mission and theater objectives. Analyze political, military, economic, social information, and infrastructure (PMESII) factors influencing military and political strategy, the planning and execution of military operations, and the impact of domestic and foreign policy on IAMD integration within the USAFE AOR. Research and integrate analytical expertise to integrate USAFE regional strategies into the operational planning and crisis action planning processes.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience as an Air Defense Fire Control Officer or Executive Officer at AAMDC

-2+ years of experience with US Army MACOM staff Branch Chief, Missile Battery Command, and USAREUR Liaison Officer (LNO)

-Knowledge of European Theater of Operations (ETO) IAMD operation plans, missile weapon systems capabilities and limitations, IAMD TTPs, and IAMD doctrine

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

-ADAFCO Certification


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with AAMDC, MACOM Division Chief, and USAREUR LNO in a Combat AOC

-MA, MS, or MBA degree

-PMP Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
