Air Traffic Control Test Equipment Technician, Mid

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for monitoring Air Traffic Control (ATC) test equipment requirements, determining obsolete test equipment, and determining and recommending replacement test equipment. Work as part of a team that maintains accurate configuration accounting of all installed Navy and Marine Corps ATC systems at shore sites and collect the data necessary to compute system performance and total ownership cost to ATC system owners. Conduct data entry, data analysis, customer service, and other support services to the client and team, as required. Leverage working knowledge of electronic systems support and maintenance using the Navy's Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and the National Airspace Modernization (NAS Mod), including Digital Airspace Surveillance Radar (DASR).

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with work center-level test equipment support and calibration coordination as part of the military or DoD

-10 years of experience with aviation command and control projects, including 3 of the following 4 areas: systems requirements, operational requirements, test and evaluation, or training, such as demonstrated expertise in industry and public service leadership in the aviation command and control technical field

-Experience with data analysis, logic, and deductive reasoning

-Experience with one of the following ATC specialty areas: NAVAIDS and ATC Equipment, Airfield Operations, ATC Communications, or ATC Radar

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel

-Ability to scan documentation and extract data based on specific criteria for use in electronic data systems

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-Technical Training in ATC, Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC), United States Antarctic Program (USAP), Naval Flight Information Group (NAVFIG) Terminal Instrument Procedures (TERPS) Program, or the US Air Forces Central (USAFCENT) programs, systems, and equipment

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of issue and project tracking systems, including JIRA by Atlassian
