Airborne Network SME

Key Role:

Support the day-to-day airborne networking efforts of the Warfighting Integration Division of the Air Force Chief Information Officer (SAF/CIO A6). Support the client’s policy, oversight, and resource advocacy responsibilities for Air Force and DoD airborne networking activities. Engage with client leadership daily at the Colonel level and above to explain issues and recommend solutions and apply excellent communication expertise. Develop and manage project schedules, develop and deliver briefings and fact papers, and engage with Air Force and DoD organizations to collect information and collaborate on issues relating to tactical data links (TDLs), software defined radios (SDRs), tactical network management, platform integration challenges, and other airborne networking topics. Comprehend and interface with Air Force processes for requirements (JCIDS), budgeting (PPBE), and acquisition (DAS). Deliver trip reports, meeting minutes, and monthly status reports.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with headquarters-level support, including DoD, Air Force, or MAJCOM HQ

-5+ years of experience with radio frequency (RF) systems or wireless networking

-3+ years of experience with airborne or tactical networking technologies, including tactical data links

-3+ years of experience with project management and developing and managing implementation schedules

-Experience with DoD requirements (JCIDS), budgeting (PPBE), or acquisition (DAS) processes

-Experience with developing and recommending courses of action to decision authorities

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree
