Aircraft Airworthiness Analyst

Key Role:

Analyze, coordinate, and maintain the flight clearance process, including the technical data requirements to determine the operating envelopes, limitations, cautions, and special inspections required based upon a specified configuration in the flight clearance. Analyze the development of and recommend certification criteria for airworthiness assessors. Support the staffing and issuance of flight clearances through the established process, support the coordination of aircraft operating limitations (AOL) within the program office, including supporting contractor AOL review boards, coordinating draft AOLs in the Electronic Flight Clearance Tool (EFCT), recommending that AOL has completed government coordination to the government, supporting weekly flight clearance (FC) meetings with contractor and government teams, and keeping Local Flight Clearance Authorities (LFCAs), F-35 SMEs, and the government appraised of issues and due dates to support developmental test requirements. Work with contracts to developing an acceptable airworthiness certification package, including analyzing the planning, execution, and monitoring of airworthiness certification engineering events and provide recommendations on the acceptability of aircraft AW certification packages to leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

-6 years of experience in an engineering or technical role

-3 years of experience with technical project management

-Experience with developmental or operational flight test programs

-Experience with systems engineering, test, or program management support for a defense acquisition program

-Knowledge of fighter aircraft employment

-Ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments, and communicate recommendations effectively

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications
-BA or BS degree in Engineering preferred
