Aircraft Financial Analyst

Key Role:

Lead, plan, organize, manage, and accomplish financial management activities to support daily operations and warfighting missions, including analysis of financial programs and operations, accounting liaison and pay services, budget preparation and execution, program, cost, or economic analysis, resource advisement, non-appropriated fund oversight, audit management, bank liaison, policy or procedures, fiscal law, internal controls, and quality assurance. Identify management problems, develop alternatives, and recommend solutions. Provide decision support, including serving as a financial adviser to the commander and staff. Work in concert with the squadron officer for various activities, including analyzing fiscal oversight of existing and proposed squadron contracts, development of new squadron contracting vehicles, and leveraging existing agile contracting vehicles.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft Excel and complex financial modeling, including during commercial real estate transactions

-Knowledge of general accounting principles pertaining to governmental, commercial, managerial, and cost accounting

-Knowledge of Air Force concepts and objectives and their relationship to effective, economical execution of the mission

-Knowledge of fiscal laws, executive orders, comptroller general decisions, instructions, and directives

-Knowledge of Air Force budget structure and policy

-Knowledge of fiscal procedures, including resource allocation and fund control procedures, cost estimating, economic analysis, and quantitative statistical analysis, and computer applications

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree and 5 years of experience with working in finance or banking

Additional Qualifications:

-15 years of experience in finance, banking, or related fields

-Experience with housing preferred

-Knowledge of DoD or Air Force financing policy or procedure and acquisitions or contracting

-Ability to interface with DoD, Joint, Air Force, Major Commands, and C-level personnel within private sector organizations

-MBA or PhD degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
