Aircraft Modification Electrical Engineer

Key Role:
Provide dedicated onsite electrical design and integration of aircraft T-2 modification equipment, including support for government quality assurance inspections for flight readiness. Develop and process T-2 modification work statements and instrumentation design requirements through attending test planning meetings and performing preliminary planning via e-mail and telephone calls. Support government engineering personnel with installation considerations for the system electrical components, including accessibility, maintainability, component selection, and application of maintenance guidance and practices associated with airworthiness and safety for military air vehicles. Prepare all necessary forms and make measurements and sketches to aid the system during layout and installation. Coordinate the package to ensure readiness of all drawings, documentation, and materials for mod dock insertion of the aircraft and provide design engineering support of the mod installation. Render assistance, consultation, and direction and update design drawings to reflect engineering changes to design installation drawings. Support the government with design, document and perform engineering checks, including form-fit, functional, and electrical checks of the installed systems, and support the scheduling, conduct, and response to quality assurance (QA) inspections performed by government QA personnel, including electromagnetic interference (EMI) checks.

Basic Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience as an electrical or instrumentation engineering, including operations, lab, and design
-Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and designs
-Ability to work with a team, participate in client meetings, and give demonstrations and presentations
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-AA or AS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with aircraft preferred

-Experience with designing aircraft temporary modifications, including T-2
-Experience with 96 TW test program planning and execution a plus
-Knowledge of military aircraft, including specific electrical design
-BS degree in a related field preferred; MS degree in a related field a plus
