Alternate Facility Security Officer

Key Role:

Serve as the alternate facility security officer for the home office, and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Change 2 and other government regulations, as applicable. Assist with the development and implementation of a reporting requirements under the NISPOM, including adverse reporting administrative inquiries, foreign travel, foreign contact and suspicious contact reporting. Coordinate classified visits, classified conferences and foreign person visits to the facility with physical security, counterintelligence and program teams to ensure compliance and reporting requirements are met. Maintain responsibility of closed areas by conducting reviews of contract documentation, such as DSS Form 147s and DD 254s.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with working as a senior security specialist or AFSO supporting the NISPOM and other DoD collateral security related guidance

​-Knowledge of DD 254 preparation and issuance and RFP interpretation and proposal requirements

-Ability to work with others effectively to help foster and encourage a positive work environment

-Active Top Secret clearance

-AA or AS degree

-Completion of the CDSE FSO Management curriculum
