Amphibious Development Planner

Key Role:

Provide technical services and subject matter expertise in support of US Marine Corps (USMC) joint and multi-lateral interoperability, and continuity in application of new concepts, technology, training, and associated efforts. Fulfill Joint and USMC Service-level guidance and requirements for development of

partner nation capabilities, specifically the development of partner nation amphibious forces within the US Pacific Command Area of Responsibility. Assist the Future Operations Branch Director with the research, development, publication, coordination, and execution of amphibious development plans for selected countries in the US Pacific Command Area of Responsibility. Coordinate with appropriate US Embassies and Country Teams, US Pacific Command HQ, Marine Forces Pacific divisions and staff sections, and other Service components and Host Nation planners in the US Pacific Command Area of Responsibility in the development of plans supporting USMC amphibious requirements tied to USMC force projection. Develop and synchronize various Southeast Asia nation requests for development of amphibious capabilities into Marine Forces Pacific's Theater Security Cooperation Plan and the Training and Employment Exercise Plan. Coordinate efforts and synchronize amphibious development activities and execute and refine policies and procedures from multiple DoD, US Pacific Command, and Combatant Command directives. Research concepts and plans and conduct analysis of factual data, prepare reports, briefs, and documents in support of event scenario development, create and edit documents, analyze problem areas, and recommend feasible solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with USMC Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) planning, including new and emerging nation amphibious development

-Knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at MAGTF or Joint and Combined command-level and direct participation in planning and real world joint operations

-Knowledge of USMC operations in relation to US Pacific Command Operational Plan and Contingency Plan development

-TS/SCI clearance required

-BA or BS degree required
