API Configuration Management Engineer

Key Role:

Work as part of the Booz Allen CIO’s Emerging Technology Services team, specializing in delivering new technologies to an audience of 20,000+, and pilot and launch innovative mobile, web, API, and SaaS services for Booz Allen staff. Collaborate with a team that is versatile and passionate about technology and take an entrepreneurial approach to IT by embracing roots in Agile, DevOps, and user experience in an IT organization that has been ranked in the top 20 of the Top 100 Places to Work in IT by ComputerWorld for the past 5 years. Work with business partners to transform ideas and successful proof-of-concepts into enterprise-wide solutions for the firm, leveraging the philosophy that continuous development also applies to team members. Perform release and configuration management of enterprise API services, fragments, and reusable integration components and assist with performance and connectivity troubleshooting. Assist with automation for continuous deployment (CI/CD) on pre-production systems and work as part of a team with some supervision. Participate in the planning of system and development deployment and maintain responsibility for meeting software compliance standards, perform documents testing and maintenance of system corrections, and develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with a Cloud environment, including AWS or Azure

-Knowledge of DevOps concepts and tools, including automation, continuous builds, containers, deployment tools, and repositories

-Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and exception or error handling

-Knowledge of network concepts and protocols, including HTTPS, FTP, load-balancing, and routing

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Python, Java, or other programming language

-Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or ELK stacks

-Experience with application deployments, monitoring, and alerting

-Experience with Maven, Jenkins, Jfrog Artifactory, or X-Ray

-Experience with Mulesoft or similar API management platform

-Knowledge of Linux and scripting

-Knowledge of Web Services, including REST or SOAP

-Knowledge of security concepts, including LDAP, Oauth, SAML, SSL or TLS, and certificates
