Application Support Analyst

The Charleston Digital Hub of Booz Allen Hamilton, is seeking qualified candidates for an Application Support Analyst position in the Charleston, SC area.


The Charleston Digital Hub is a software development hub of Booz Allen that operates and executes much like a fast-paced startup within the larger organization. Application Support Analysts work with the development team throughout the triage process. An ASA will work directly with application users to detect, investigate, and diagnose potential problems and defects. Once issues are detected, the development team relies on the ASAs to troubleshoot and propose client solutions. ASAs are on the ground floor with our end users and serve as their subject matter experts. The day-to-day life of an ASA at the Charleston Digital Hub includes:


-Working with technical requirements owners to obtain information on application design and functionality to propose solutions for end users.

-Working with network administrators to troubleshoot performance issues and outages.

-Performing application testing in multiple environments.

-Conducting conferences calls and live demos with end users and developers to provide solutions.

-Providing input to the policies, practices, and projects involving production operations.

-Establishing a common understanding of workflow applications processes within multiple project environments.

-Performing as an application expert within an infrastructure team as a part of the AGILE methodology.

-Communicating application development life cycle events to multiple parties and tracking updates and changes to that life cycle.

-Creating documentation in regards to process, change management requests, and incident resolutions.


The Must-Haves:

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Must live in the Charleston, SC area or be willing to relocate

-Ability to communicate application information and solutions to clients

-Work efficiently in cross team situations as well as independently

-Experience in Data and process analysis

-Knowledge of software development models


Nice to Haves:

-Bachelor's degree in a technical related field

-Experience with relational database systems and concepts

-Ability to grasp concepts and flow of cross platform data

-Experience with SOAP UI

-Experience with SQL
