Applications Developer, Senior

Key Role:

Conduct systems analysis and programming activities for the development, maintenance, and installation of computer programs supporting internal business operations. Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments and contribute to the development of new ideas and principles. Solve uniquely complex problems, speak for the organization to internal and external clients, and work on long-range programs and objectives. Provide advice to the organization in area of expertise. Play a role in overall functional strategic planning.


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with the design and development of Web-based applications

-Experience with Java, JavaScript, JavaScript APIs, including JQuery, ExtJS, Angular JS, or Bootstrap

-Experience with J2EE, JSON, XML, SOAP or RESTful Web Services

-Experience with relational databases, including SQL, PL/SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Netezza, or MongoDB

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Puppet or Chef

-Experience in Unit Tests with JUNIT

-Experience with Linux and Windows infrastructure

-Experience with Hibernate or Spring Frameworks

-Experience with IDEs, including Eclipse and IntelliJ

-Experience with scripting, including Ruby, Python, Bash, Shell, Perl, or Gradle

-Experience with ETL Systems and Tools, including Pentaho

-Experience with Apache Tomcat and ElasticSearch or Solr

-Experience with Version control, including GIT or SVN

-Experience with Java Build Frameworks, including ANT

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree preferred; MS degree a plus
