Applications Tester, Mid

Key Role:

Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization. Develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes. Establish and maintain a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation or assist with the evaluation. Conduct or participate in formal and informal reviews at predetermined points throughout the development life cycle. Build relationships and be comfortable in a client site setting. This position is located in the Northern VA area.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with functional testing

-2+ years of experience with using automated test tools to test Web-based applications

-2+ years of experience with creating automated test scripts and developing RVTMs, test plans, and procedures

-Experience with the use of test automation tools, including Selenium and automated testing with cruise control and subversion

-Experience with troubleshooting and debugging

-Experience with Agile development methodologies

-Knowledge of the software development life cycle

-Ability to write and maintain technical documents

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with testing Web applications

-Experience with the Project Management Framework

-Experience with business process analysis and development

-Knowledge of Java

-Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent problem-solving, analytical reasoning, team leadership and development, and client relationship skills
