Applied Financial Analytics Lead

Key Role:

Provide subject matter expertise, analysis, and recommendations regarding the general health and direction of Booz Allen’s backlog and pipeline at the corporate, business unit, and market levels. Work with leaders across corporate finance and business finance to identify and respond to emerging reporting and forecasting requirements while maintaining agility as forecasts, risks, and priorities evolve. Support business finance leadership in the development of plans and forecasts by providing baseline information, models, and analytics. Communicate key insights, including opportunities and risks at the business unit and market levels. Work closely with investor relations to provide forward forecasts and tailored analysis in support of internal and external messaging and guidance. Work with business development professionals to maintain models describing the ability of Booz Allen’s pipeline to support long-range financial plans. Support the regular cadence of long-range planning activities by providing independent analysis of business unit targets. 

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience with corporate financial analysis and reporting

-5+ years of experience with developing and presenting financial reporting artifacts to both finance and non-finance leaders at the executive level

-3+ years of experience with reporting sales pipeline metrics at a market or business unit level

-1+ years of experience with using Tableau

-Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint at an advanced level

-Experience with government services contracting

-Knowledge of the federal contracts life cycle

-Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements for publicly traded companies, with an emphasis on commonly reported backlog and book-to-bill metrics

-Ability to apply creativity in performing financial analysis and critical-thinking to bring value to the improvement of financial performance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of government services rate structures, including direct costs, indirect costs, and fees

-MBA degree
