Asia Pacific Policy/Strategy Analyst, Senior

Key Role:
Serve as a staff strategic advisory analyst, including analyzing, organizing, and assessing government doctrine, policy, and missions to support Navy Component Command-level long range planning and comparing to existing doctrines, policies, and missions to identify possible gaps and recommend mitigation actions. Provide expertise in long-range planning and analyses associated with Command missions, capabilities, force structure, requirements, OPORDs, and SOPs, including providing recommendations on the development of force capabilities, technology insertions, experiments, models and simulations, and proposed mitigation methods and approaches. Provide analyses and recommendations on selected topics, including Force readiness, emerging technologies, threats, and trends in Indo-Pacific while developing the necessary meeting materials and briefings to be presented to the audience. Analyze the development of recommendations and plans for government approval for Command HQ to foster innovation throughout the Fleet and develop communication and thought products to increase awareness and comprehension of emerging technologies and capabilities throughout the Fleet community developed through ideation events involving command sailors. Conduct analysis for key organizations or individuals, including commanders of major commands of their missions, policies, and activities and provide recommendations for engagement plans to enhance the readiness and survivability of Navy Component warfighters in the execution of their missions. Provide strategic communication expertise for Command HQ, subordinate commands, composite task forces, and task groups to enhance the survivability and reliability of PACFLT forces by enhancing the integration of messaging capabilities to achieve desired tactical, operational, and strategic effects.

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with Navy operational or strategic level-of-war management or engagement in major Fleet programs and activities
-5+ years of experience with leading government programs and projects
-Experience with communicating at senior DoD executive levels
-Active TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with operations in the Asia-Pacific region preferred
-Knowledge of PACFLT staff responsibilities, the USPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR), USPACOM's components integration, state and non-state threats to US Forces, and Joint military planning processes
