Asset Management Audit Readiness Analyst

Key Role:
Provide business transformation and risk mitigation support to assist DoD clients with improving the completeness and accuracy of property and financial records in support of achieving and sustaining audit readiness. Coordinate across stakeholder groups to inspect, validate, and maintain inventory and assets on hand and reconcile with Navy Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSR) records and amounts recorded to the command’s financial statements. Maintain Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) records in accordance with Navy policy. Assist with the identification and implementation of corrective actions to address audit risks and ensure process performers possess the knowledge, expertise, and abilities to account for inventory and assets consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Develop and deliver training to increase awareness of FIAR objectives and requirements, as needed. Support the development and timely submission of deliverables in accordance with the project management plan. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with asset management, financial analysis, or audits
-Experience with Microsoft Office
-Ability to be a team player, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in a DoD environment
-Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access at the intermediate to advanced level
-Experience with the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) or other DoD APSRs

-Experience with Navy Correspondence Manual

-Experience with Navy policy
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MA or MS degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or related field

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
