Assistant Facility Security Officer

Key Role:

Help coordinate and monitor DoD industrial security program and other security activities, ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Conduct security briefings and help coordinate security education programs. Maintain liaison with outside agencies and keep upper management informed of all investigation results. Implement standard security procedures, participate in fact finding, and manage access controls. Coordinate classified document control and distribution. Communicate security procedures and policies to employees and subcontractors.


Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or assistant FSO

-Knowledge of NISPOM 5200.22-M and related Executive Orders

-Knowledge of JPAS, E-QIP, ACCS, e-FCL, ISFD, and other NISP-related databases

-Ability to interpret and communicate established corporate and facility security policies and procedures to employees

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Completion of a combination of the following DSS STEPP courses: FSO Role in the NISP, DSS Electronic Facility Clearance (e-FCL), Personnel Clearances in the NISP, JPAS or JCAVS Virtual Training, NISP Reporting Requirements, Visits and Meetings in the NISP, and Safeguarding Classified Information in the NISP


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft software applications

-Ability to be highly detail-oriented

-Ability to present oneself as highly flexible and highly motivated

-Ability to be flexible to move from one task to another and be available for a variety of tasks as the need arises

-Possession of excellent judgment, decision-making, teamwork, and customer service skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-FSO Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
