Assistant Operations Officer

Key Role:

Conduct the program management functions of monitoring, controlling, and reporting within the DoD ACQ 5000 construct in the areas of cost, schedule, and performance. Track and report cost, schedule, performance, and associated technical and programmatic risks using widely used tools for DoD programs, including Microsoft Project and Excel and Project Recon. Analyze plans, including budgets and schedules to meet contractual or project requirements for an assigned major portion of a program. Establish and define program plan requirements and perform in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans. Coordinate the interdepartmental development of program plans. Interface with vendors and clients and perform extensive data collection, as required. Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in an office environment managing HR issues, including duties such as scheduling, time, and performance

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

-Knowledge of Microsoft Project

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED


Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or Management preferred

-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
