Audit Readiness Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Provide financial improvement and audit support to assist Department of Navy (DON) clients with achieving and sustaining audit readiness. Analyze efforts to strengthen internal controls and improve the timeliness and accuracy of financial information, including the underlying general ledger and financial statement balances. Analyze the development of internal controls test plans to support internal test work in preparation for a financial statement audit. Support internal control and substantive testing of business processes and financial statements. Support efforts to develop and implement corrective actions that transform the client's business environment while improving the timeliness and quality of financial information, as required. Support the timely and successful completion of tasks and deliverables in accordance with a project management plan.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with financial analysis, accounting, or auditing

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

-Knowledge of financial statements, including federal accounting

-Knowledge of accounting, including government accounting standards and audit standards or the government accounting and auditing field

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Active CPA, CIA, or CISA License

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in a Navy environment

-Experience with financial audits and audit readiness efforts

-Knowledge of DoD financial management practices or business processes preferred

-Knowledge of OMB A-123, GAAP, and GAAS preferred

-Ability to be a team player, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

-Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

-Active CDFM or CGFM Certification
