Aviation and Environmental Specialist, Senior

Key Role:
Contribute to a dynamic team of aviation professionals, operations research analysts, and environmental professionals focused on helping aviation customers solve some of their most pressing aviation environmental and energy challenges. Provide expertise, tool development, and analysis to support other projects ranging from policy and strategy reviews to environmental modeling and advanced aviation operations research. Lead junior staff in executing tasking to meet client needs. 
 

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with aviation, environmental, modeling, and analytics 
-3+ years of experience with consulting on aviation and environmental programs
-Experience with tool development, including GIS techniques

-Knowledge of environmental modeling, including weather, noise pollution, and climate change and environmental regulations
-Knowledge of airport planning and the key environmental, energy, and air traffic or airport issues associated with aviation

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BS degree required
 

Additional Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with airport planning, including forecasting, design, and grants
-5+ years of experience with noise or air modeling

-Knowledge of NEPA, FAA air traffic flow management
-Ability to mentor junior staff and provide guidance for professional development
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
-BS degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Science, Meteorology, Aviation Science, or closely related field preferred; MS degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Science, Meteorology, Aviation Science, or closely related field a plus
