Aviation/Environmental Specialist, Lead

Key Role:

Work as an experienced aviation professional to join a nationally recognized and growing multi-disciplinary aviation environment team. Support a federal client in some of the nation's most pressing and complex aviation environmental challenges. Apply knowledge of NEPA, CEQ, aviation operations, including air traffic management, airports, or airlines, FAA regulations, environmental modeling, environmental regulations, and comprehension of the key environmental and energy and air traffic or airport issues associated with aviation. Act as a leader in the group, maintaining responsibility for leading a range of airport and aviation projects, financial and strategic planning, and other projects encompassing aviation operations, airspace re-design, air traffic control towers and remote towers, and domestic or international policy. Support the continued growth and development of the aviation environmental business. Serve as a subject matter expert and leader on a dynamic team delivering high quality solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

-20+ years of experience with supporting airport or aviation projects, including airport planning, NEPA, remote towers, strategic planning, and financial and business planning

-Experience with managing progressively larger projects and teams

-Ability to work as a subject matter expert, leveraging expertise in aviation operations, airport planning, engineering, and operation of engines or aircraft

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as a pilot

-Knowledge of mater planning, FAA grant assurance, and airspace procedures

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Public Trust clearance
-MA or MS degree in Aviation

-Private or Commercial Pilot License
