Aviation Live/Virtual/Constructive Training Environment Planner

Key Role:
Deliver exercise design, including the linkage of training events to training objectives and make recommendations on resources available to meet unit training needs and training benefit analysis for any contracted training support for units conducting training events. Facilitate training coordination with the Training Support Division (TSD), Battle Simulation Center (BSC), and other support personnel. Facilitate the conduct of exercises, deliver training gaps assessments for local unit and USMC training objectives, assist the TSD with providing training support to the training unit on the training systems available, and deliver exercise design support. Assist the unit commander, operations officers, and training officers with integrating Marine Corps training systems and devices into the unit training plan. Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), planning conferences, including IPC, MPC, and FPC and training cadre to develop training exercises and scenarios based on unit requirements. Assist with planning a total systems integration that involves all training systems and sites and support input and collect and analyze training data for use in defining future changes, upgrades, and planning. Deliver support for training analysis with subject matter expertise in intelligence, joint operations, interagency operations scenario development, and scenario development specific to current theater operations and employment of C4I. 

Basic Qualifications:
-10 years of experience in the Marine Aviation community as either a Fixed Wing (FW) or Rotary Wing (RW) pilot
-Experience as a JTAC, FAAC-A, or Air Officer at Battalion or higher element
-Experience at the ACE MSE level of the MEF or MEB, including the Tactical Air Command Center
-Secret clearance
-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1 (MAWTS-1), including Weapons and Tactics Instruction (WTI), Aviation Training Systems (ATS), or MATSS
-Experience with aviation simulations, the Aviation Distributed Virtual Training Environment (ADVTE), the Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT), Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE), Combined Arms Command and Control Upgrade System (CACCTUS), the Improved Moving Target Simulator (IMTS), and the usage of constructive simulations, such as the MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation to support unit training objectives
-Top Secret clearance preferred
