Aviation Program Analyst

Key Role:

Provide support to strategic analysis, aviation operational concept development, and emerging technologies requirements elicitation related tasks as part of a team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Conduct research, evaluations, and studies and present recommendations in support of FAA long-term and short-term operational plans. Use program and project management subject matter expertise to develop and maintain an emerging technologies roadmap documenting the necessary projects and tasks to achieve administration goals. Manage the roadmap through independently interfacing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Provide support to the client and team with capturing, maintaining, analyzing, and visualizing roadmap activities in a meaningful way. Provide thought leadership and recommendations for incorporating new roadmap activities and drawing new insights and conclusions from roadmap data. Develop briefings, presentations, and other documentation to support internal program audiences and senior US government staff.

Basic Qualifications:

-6 years of experience with program or project management

-6 years of experience with independently managing and interfacing with large and diverse stakeholder lists

-5 years of experience with communicating US government strategies to a broad set of stakeholders

-3 years of experience with researching industry best practices and trends to support client goals

-Experience with developing briefings or documentation and communicating to US government staff

-Ability to provide thought leadership and recommendations for improving the execution of US government strategies

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft Excel or Tableau preferred

-Knowledge of emerging aviation concepts, including unmanned aircraft and commercial space operations

-Ability to develop aviation operational or programmatic requirements

-Licensed private or commercial pilot or small unmanned aircraft systems pilot

-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
