Aviation Readiness Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Support the client with all readiness and logistics efforts connected with the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) and Current Readiness Community of Practice. Work as a Type, Model, and Series (TMS) analyst to develop and monitor current readiness metrics that support mission accomplishment, including implementing the NAE’s strategic direction and mission within the TMS team. Serve as a TMS analyst to the government and support the client in program or project operations. Collect or coordinate the collection of monthly metrics data, perform root-cause analysis to identify gaps in performance metrics, present root-cause analysis during meetings for barrier resolution, assemble monthly analysis products using the appropriate database tools, assist TMS team leadership with producing monthly analysis summaries, and create NAE briefing materials, monitor the improvement of actual cycle time, first past yield, Actions Items (AIs), and Work in Progress (WIP) productivity. Participate in studies and assessments and support strategic, tactical, or operational planning and execution as part of the larger NAE Current Readiness team. Work as part of a dispersed team.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with continuous process improvement principles and tools, including AIRSpeed and Lean Six Sigma
-Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access database usage tools
-Knowledge of USN maintenance and cost tools
-Knowledge of USN Aviation Readiness measures, including DRRS-N, SHARP, and contract logistics support for reporting procedures
-Knowledge of Manpower Management tools
-Ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and explain findings
-Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in a professional work environment or AA or AS degree and 7 years of experience in a professional work environment
