Avionics Engineering Lead

Key Role:
Develop and apply advanced systems engineering methods, theories, and research techniques to the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems. Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects, as needed, including coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. Analyze, evaluate, and plan a method of approach and organize the means to achieve solutions to complex technical problems. Conduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity and review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects. Review the project's progress and evaluate results and recommend corrections to technical applications and analysis. Specify the materials, equipment, and supplies required for completion and implementation of technical projects. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services and provide technical consultation to technical staff or other organizations, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with KC-135 aircraft avionics and automatic test equipment maintenance technical, or engineering documentation update activities
-Experience with Air Force instructions and policies and risk mitigation plans
-Experience with project master schedules and program engineering documentation
-Knowledge of KC-135 Avionics and depot operations
-Secret clearance required

Additional Qualifications:
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation expertise
-BS degree in Engineering
-Top Secret clearance
