Background Screening Case Manager

Key Role:
Serve as a junior background screening program case manager within an internal team responsible for facilitating screening processes and ensuring proper case management within the background screening program for US-based candidates. Conduct evaluation and investigation on information presented by applicants as part of the new hire process via employment application, adjudication of investigative results in the furtherance of risk mitigation and team practices, and preparation and presentation of case materials to a formal review committee, as needed. Maintain responsibility for the review of investigative reports to ensure accuracy and make risk mitigation determinations on the material presented. Perform in a fast-paced environment with little supervision, maintain high organizational oversight to ensure task completion, and maintain compliance standards with local and national laws in each area of operation as they pertain to background screenings, investigations, and their impact on employment. Collaborate with external groups with case escalations, including employee relations, the law department, and security services while maintaining a professional bearing. Support specialized screening practices, as needed.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with the protection of confidential or sensitive materials and data
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
-Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and external clients effectively in written and oral forms
-Ability to be detail-oriented and adapt to changing case volumes and types
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-HS diploma or GED
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with background screenings or general corporate investigations
-Experience with international legal or compliance processes
-Knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act as it pertains to background screenings
-BA or BS degree
-Virginia or other Jurisdiction Private Investigation Registration or License
