Base Realignment and Closure Environmental Coordinator

Key Role:

Serve as an environmental subject matter expert and project manager for one or more installations closed under Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) legislation. Provide comprehensive environmental and munitions technical support and perform extensive restoration and cost analysis for one or more closed or realigned installations. Leverage knowledge of environmental investigations, remediation and restoration techniques, and methodologies and practices for all environmental media, perform staffing actions, and prepare executive correspondence for associated environmental actions with appropriate Army staff, Army Secretariat, OSD, and Congress stakeholders.


Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with DoD environmental policies

-5 years of experience in coordinating actions with state and federal regulators

-Experience with environmental investigations, remediation, and emergency spill responses and coordinating cleanup actions

-Experience with the following systems: HQAES, Defense and State Memorandum of Agreement Module (DSMOA), Army Financial Module, Repository of Environmental Army Documents Module (READ), and Remedial Action Cost Engineering Requirements (RACER)

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Professional Engineer, Registered Environmental Manager, Project Management Professional, Professional Geologist, or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager Certification


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting environmental programs at a DoD installation level

-MA or MS degree in Environmental Science

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
