Budget Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Provide administrative, editing, and financial transaction support related to environmental issues in the DoD. Work with intuitive judgment, apply knowledge of, and ability to relieve the client’s team of administrative details, including supplying requested information, scheduling appointments, preparing special reports, and obtaining information from sources within or outside of the client’s office. Provide support for meetings, including preparing agendas, making room reservations, and taking meeting notes. Collect and prepare information for use in discussions or meetings with other DoD personnel, other agencies, and stakeholders outside of DoD and edit reports, testimony, briefs, presentations, and other documents in support of the client’s requirements. Interface with personnel to coordinate meetings, maintain records and files, provide end-user support, and perform general administrative duties. Work closely with budget action officers to support budget analysis and financial transactions, support action officers in responding to annual data analysis and reporting requirements, ad hoc requests by other DoD organizations, congress, and other government agencies, provide analyses of data and information to support the review and oversight of DoD installations and environmental programs, and assist with developing technical program planning, control documents, milestone planning and tracking, and evaluations of program schedules related to programs in the client's portfolio. Create and update Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with performing Internet research and using databases and Web-based management reporting systems
-Experience with Microsoft Office
-Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
-Ability to schedule and coordinate meetings and schedules for executives and facilities
-Ability to assist with the preparation of presentations
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with supporting DoD programs
-Knowledge of the structure and missions of the OSD and the DoD components
-Secret clearance a plus
