Budget/Financial Analyst

Key Role:

Serve as a financial and budget analyst supporting a broad spectrum of business case analysis, economic analysis, capital planning and investment control activities, life cycle cost estimating, statistical analysis, benefits analysis, and risk analysis. Maintain responsibility for formulating strategic financial plans, preparing cost estimates, and correlating financial requirements into executable budgets. Maintain responsibility for assessment of products and procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and multi­-tiered system application standards. Manage completion of work within the time frame specified by the government, ensuring that all financial requirements are met. Prepare milestone status reports and presentations for colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with providing financial and budget analysis support to high visibility projects

-Experience with investment decision analysis

-Knowledge of the principles of regularly exercising independent judgment and a high-level of analytic expertise in solving complex financial and administrative problems

-Knowledge of current technologies

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or Technology


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access

-Experience with commercial statistical and risk analysis software packages a plus

-Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MBA degree preferred

-PMP Certifications a plus
