Business Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Perform as a key business analyst for a high-visibility, government-wide IT software development project that works with policy decision-makers from OMB and assist users across the government. Provide technical and quality assurance support as part of an integrated team of developers, working hand-in-hand with various resources to analyze technical and business implications of federal regulatory policy, test user stories, and identify and verify defects. Write requirements and test cases for new and existing functionality. Work with functional team members to comprehend system requirements and become proficient with tools that handle IT data for federal agencies. Analyze current processes and identify and execute potential improvement areas that can be implemented.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience as a technical business analyst

-Experience with quality assurance on software development projects

-Experience with Agile development

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel

-Knowledge of data gathering and quantitative analysis

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with using XML and RESTful APIs

-Experience with automated testing tools, including Selenium

-Experience with Section 508 Compliance standards and testing tools

-Experience with software languages, including C# or Python

-Ability to work with different teams and across organizations to present and communicate analytical findings on an independent basis

-Ability to work independently in a high volume, fast-paced environment

-Ability to multi-task

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent interpersonal and time management skills
