Business Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative analysis and recommendations to improve organizational performance through changes to strategy, organization structure, process, human capital or culture, information technology, enterprise cost reduction, management practices, and cost drivers. Make recommendations on how to capitalize on opportunities to improve client performance, including revenue or profitability and mission achievement and advise on how to improve operations and increase process efficiency. Provide recommendations on how to expand or reorganize a business unit or operation. Examine complex systems and advise on the development of specific cost reduction solutions and business case analyses to support transformation efforts. Mitigate and manage risk. Conduct customer or stakeholder analyses and serve as a practitioner with multiple areas of expertise that spans across management consulting pillars and other functional communities. Provide work leadership for lower level employees.

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with project management for medium- to large-scale projects

-Experience in working with senior government stakeholders to identify and document business, functional, and technical requirements, including the development of use cases

-Experience with identifying and translating business requirements into functional and technical requirements

-Experience with supporting the full software development life cycle, including functional testing

-Experience with re-engineering business processes to accommodate the adoption of new technologies and with gathering information, main points, and requirements through interviews, facilitated sessions, and best-practice research

-BA or BS degree and 7 years of experience with analyzing IT projects for organizational efficiencies, operations, procedures, and protocols

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the modernization of mission-critical, legacy systems

-Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences effectively

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree in an IT or Engineering-related field preferred

-PMP Certification preferred

-Agile Certification, including Scrum Master or Scaled Agile Framework or Business Analysis Certification, including BPMN preferred
