Corporate Business Continuity Specialist

Key Role:

Act as a business continuity specialist with a professional certification to join our growing team in our McLean, VA office. Provide subject matter expertise to our Business Continuity (BC) stakeholders on all phases of the BC life cycle with a high emphasis on Business Impact Analysis (BIA), plan development, Testing, Training, and Exercises (TT&E), and performance metrics. Develop, maintain, and exercise BC plans in conjunction with our BC coordinators (BCCs), business process owners, and recovery teams. Respond to and manage recovery teams through disasters, crisis, and disruptive incidents affecting Booz Allen, its staff, or its operations. Ensure that robust, action-oriented and exercisable BC plans exist in all corporate departments. Leverage high-quality interpersonal expertise to form excellent and trusted partnerships with all BC stakeholders. Perform critical business process dependency mapping to ensure critical dependencies, including IT and IS applications, have recovery capabilities that meet our business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with managing or supporting a corporate business continuity program for a private sector organization
-Experience with developing, testing, and maintaining BC plans
-Experience with developing, gathering, and reporting on BC performance metrics
-Knowledge of all phases of the BC life cycle

-Ability to facilitate tabletop and functional exercises
-Ability to present in front of employees at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership effectively

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree or 7+ years of experience with business continuity in lieu of a degree

-Current ABCP or CBCP Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the Fusion Framework System or other automated BC planning tools

-Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint

-Knowledge of process improvement principles and methods

-Ability to work evenings or weekends in response to business interruption events

-Ability to work independently while supporting multiple projects

-Possession of excellent presentation, leadership, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
