Business Operations Specialist

Key Role:

Serve as a business operations specialist for a newly established operations team. Maintain responsibility for a wide variety of detailed financial and administrative activities for the commercial Cyber capabilities team related to current and future engagement portfolio, proposals, marketing, investment efforts, and capacity management. Compile technical, financial, and other project data using various database programs for inclusion in reports or presentation materials. Develop cost controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract and program status and ensure compliance with corporate and contractual requirements. Perform cost or schedule variance analysis and provide resulting recommendations to program or project managers and task leads to mitigate risk. Support cost proposal development and analysis to ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal revenue and profit targets. Assist with capacity management efforts related to current staff and future resource requirements, lead or support ad hoc requests and special projects, and work collaboratively in a team environment and independently, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with project cost control or financial management and contract interpretation, analysis of budget development, and administration of corporate projects, including financial data, analysis, and reconciliation of estimations versus actuals

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint

-Ability to collect and analyze or interpret data from multiple sources and identify, research, and solve financial problems and program risks

-Ability to manage work with minimal directions, multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment, and handle high volumes of work

-Ability to build relationships across multiple teams

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the usage of macros and advanced formulas in Excel for financial tracking, analysis, and reporting

-Experience with proposal support, including responding to RFPs and supporting cost volume development for competitive procurements preferred

-Experience with Tableau or other data visualization products focused on business intelligence and analytics

-Possession of excellent data management, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics

-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
