Business Strategy Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Provide clients with strategy, policy, and program analysis and data analytics to ensure alignment with Navy and DoD objectives. Assess client program linkages to strategy, identify gaps or seams and provide data and research-informed recommendations to enhance outcomes, and inform high-level reporting requirements. Work across all facets of the data management life cycle, including request, receipt, extraction, cleaning, coding, computation, and results write-up to help clients comprehend the meaning behind their data. Develop and adapt measurement strategies to meet evolving data needs from key stakeholders. Analyze the development of briefings, point papers, talking points, and presentations to inform senior leader decisions. Develop and coordinate working groups to keep the client informed of actions being taken by all relevant stakeholders. 

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with the collection, manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization of large data sets

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

-Ability to develop and present compelling data visualizations and summaries to support research-informed decision-making

-Ability to contribute in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

-Ability to work independently, collaboratively, creatively, and analytically in a problem-solving environment

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

​-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD, Navy, or Service staff as military, civilian, or contractor, including Joint Staff, OPNAV, and Navy systems commands (SYSCOMs)

-Experience in working with analytical tools, including Rstudio, STATA, or SPSS

-Experience with design thinking and human-centered design methodologies

-Knowledge of key Navy programs and systems currently in service and under development

-Ability to use statistical programming languages, including R or Python and VBA

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree preferred
