Business Systems Acquisitions Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Provide planning, programmatic, and acquisition guidance oversight support to a major IT system modernization program as it progresses through the acquisition lifecycle and into systems engineering and solutions delivery. Provide acquisition oversight support to government clients while ensuring the program is adhering to all appropriate Department and Agency-level acquisition guidelines. Collaborate with teammates supporting both the business and technical side of the program to prepare all necessary documentation, including briefings, memos, and executive summaries for clients and appropriate acquisition oversight boards. Guide the program through acquisition decision events by interfacing directly with all appropriate Department and Agency-level acquisition bodies. Support and contribute to the development of technical solutions to meet program goals and objectives. Apply comprehensive knowledge of the DHS acquisition process to support clients in the analysis and improvement of the program’s acquisition process, policy, and procedure. This position is located in Washington, DC.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in a professional work environment

-Experience with program planning or management, including supporting federal clients in the DHS space

-Experience with DHS project management, acquisition protocols, and guidelines

-Experience with creating acquisitions and program funding documentation 

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Project, and Visio
-Knowledge of both the DHS acquisition and systems engineering lifecycle frameworks
-Knowledge of FAR regulations and contracting processes
-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting IT project management efforts

-Experience with major systems modernization efforts involving a mix of technologies, including custom development, COTS, and GOTS 

-Experience with software lifecycle and project management, including creating and tracking schedules, resource plans and evaluating risk  

-Experience with working in an Agile development environment 

-Experience with IT change management and performance

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-DHS Suitability clearance
