Business Systems Analyst, Senior

Key Role:  

Serve as a business systems analyst to elicit, formulate, and document the scope, features, requirements, and acceptance criteria for a case management system. Work with clients, stakeholders, system users, and legacy systems to identify requirements, then translate the functional and non-functional requirements into user stories in JIRA. Facilitate requirement gathering sessions and act as a primary interface with users to ensure the requirements for the new system meet current and future needs. Work closely with the technical team to ensure requirements are accurately transformed into system functionality. Provide oversight and guidance to more junior requirements analysts.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with collecting and documenting system requirements

-3+ years of experience with managing junior- and mid-level business and systems analysts, including tasking and approval of requirements deliverables

-Experience with leading and interacting directly with stakeholders to gather requirements using multiple techniques, including interviews, questionnaires, surveys, and research

-Experience with documenting user requirements in a variety of formats, including user stories, use cases, and shall statements and using prototypes, including non-functional or functional and wireframes to capture and communicate system requirements

-Experience with configuring and using requirements management tools, including JIRA

-Knowledge of Web technologies and the impact on system functionality

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working on a team using an Agile life cycle to deliver systems

-Experience with prototyping and requirements mock-up tools

-Experience with performing requirements on Case Management or Grants Management systems or systems that leverage workflow

-Experience with writing functional or automated test scripts and requirements traceability matrices

-Knowledge of the multiple dimensions of user experience (UX), gathering UX requirements, and working with graphics artists and designers to translate UX requirements into prototypes, mock-ups, and wireframes

-Ability to clearly communicate ideas, recommendations, and issues with end users, team members, and executive stakeholders
